Why would Tabor have filed his complaint on September 8, 2007, in Fulton County? Tabor's home residence was in Gwinnett County. Tabor's business, IWS, is located in DeKalb County. Do you know why GaPeach?

Here is a quote from Gwinnett Herald:

Hilton, a 10-year acquaintance and former employee,
called Tabor in late August 2007 demanding money. That was five months
before the world was to know the awful truth about the sometime
transient, a truth brought to light by information Tabor and others
furnished to authorities.

"Give me $2,500 or I'll whup your
[expletive]," Hilton had said in a recorded message, according to a
Sept. 8 Fulton County police report.

Tabor said it got worse, eventually mushrooming to demands for upwards of $10,000 and threats of murder.

Thanks GaPeach for clarifying that John Tabor also owns property in Fulton County. That particular article ran in the Gwinnett Herald and other references lead me to believe he was residing in Gwinnett County. I understand he owns several properties.

Most likely you could make a request for that police report under the state Public Records law. You know that it was filed on September 8, 2007, and you are involved in a legal matter with John Tabor, so go for it. Here are some tips.

"Big Bend women's deaths still a mystery" . Worth a look - seems to be a familiar area (mike williams found there?) and causes of death like bludgeoning, or throats cut not to mention finding these two around oct 1. Funny how these deaths did not get posted on the ever cited "map of possible victims" by you know who. Some others have left comments to the article asking if Hilton could be involved, and whether that particular area is a dumping ground.

About as strange as some of the other things said about unsolved cases in the area....

The Tew case is similar to four other cases on Gadsden County's cold

Also whomever provided the answer about the grandjury and hilton's indictment -Thanks. i was trying to get a feel for the time line. so they indicted him feb. he went thru the extradition process till april while they fought that. need to look at when the decision came down about that - but it seems inez could have made the motion to retain the grand jury before they were excused in june.

Either the writer of the comment you referred to forgot to type an 0 after the
2 OR the comment was written to mislead. If you are looking at this in
a Monk-like way the last line is rather odd. Mom and child (writer of this comment)
must have been walking fast to later turn around and pass the Bryants again who
were last reported to have been walking downhill to their car (they would at this
point be going in the same direction). Interesting also that this writer says they
were parked next to the Bryants.

First I would like to send my regards to the Bryant family, what happened was
tragic. My mother and I were hiking along the Thompson Ridge Trail off
the Yellow Gap Road on October 2. We believe we met the Bryants along
the trail. They were very friendly and kind natured. They mentioned
they were staying at the Mt. Pisgah Inn where they try to stay every
fall. We had parked beside them, they were hiking from the Pisgah inn
down to their car on Yellow Gap Road, we were hiking up. They said they
had parked one of their cars at the trail head and planned to drive
back to the inn after their hike. We were inspired to see an older
couple enjoying themselfs outdoors on a vigorous hike. After I was bit
by a horsefly or yellow jacket we turned around and passed them for a
second time.

I tend to question all these "recollections" , esp after I mull on them for a bit, I initially thought these people were talking about that same weekend. Then I read it was for the 2d. That reference to being parked beside them? Hiking past them twice? But they are rather specififc in saying the Bryants had parked one of their cars at the trail head. That gorp site says most hiking the yellow trail do just that. It just sounds freaky and I can't explain why.

Tazebell, I'm glad to see your computer is working again. I was without the use of one earlier in the month, and I am having to use one that I'm not all that familiar with, so I understand the frustration with computers.

Recollections or memory develop distortions over time. Eyewitnesses can often be key pieces of the puzzle, but a group of eyewitnesses usually disagree on many of the details.

GeorgiaPeach, are you sure that Pine Lodge reference is the one in Inglis, FL? If so, I can go on all kinds of tangents....like OLD TOWN, FL (JUDITH OSTEEN - WHO WAS ABDUCTED FROM HER HOME ON DECEMBER 15, 2007).

Also, that is very near an area known as YELLOW JACKET. Then there is a YELLOW JACKET Campground in Old Town, FL on the beautiful Suwannee River. As well as RV sites, they have rustic and modern tent sites as well as free wireless internet access. That's also near Dunnellon, FL where another commenter from 2004 was living when she states she places Hilton in the area. I don't have that in front of me. Any thoughts?

While you are looking for the name of the lodge, I have found the comment from Valerie Burner of Dunnellon, FL who says she came across Hilton in the parking lot while walking her two dogs at Rainbow Springs State Park in Dunnellon, FL during February 2004. There really was a person with this name living there during 2004. She was granted a divorce from Daniel Burner close to the time of the alleged Hilton sighting.

This man (Hilton) stalked me at the Rainbow Springs State Park in Dunnellon, FL in February 2004.

I was walking my two dogs at the time, and that did not seem to phase him.

I had the creeps from the second I saw him. He tried to get to me
even with my dogs there, when a park ranger drove up on his golf cart.

I ran to my car and was just getting into it when he came racing
around the corner towards me. (He was in the front parking lot- I was
in the very back.)

Had it not been for the park ranger, who knows what could have
happened. There was another complaint about him a day or two before
this.
He had Leon County tags...And a dog in the front seat.

I have been haunted by this man ever since, and I know that serial
killers don't start killing at 61. He's been doing it for years.

I just wish that he had been caught before these poor people died that way. It breaks my heart.

This would have been before Hilton had dealings with GeorgiaPeach. He may have been driving the 1996 white Chevrolet Astro van bearing Georgia tag 766XPZ that he ditched up in White County, GA near Tray Mountain. "Hilton was ticketed in 2006 for abandoning the van along that road. Remember GBI Agents recovered the vehicle from the scrap metal yard in Habersham County, GA and transported
it to the GBI's Regional Investigative Office in Cleveland, Ga. to be processed for evidence[b]. I wonder what they found in that van?

Spent an hour or more looking for an old post at TDO and found this stuff I posted:

Hilton does have family but they have had no contact with him for over 20 years. Not even his Mother. He has 5 cousins in Georgia His Mother lived in Flordia but is in hospice in another state. He has uncle who did live in North Carolina but has moved and a aunt in california. Hilton was bad news for along time. His family has nothing to add. No sob story. I met him once with his Mother at underground Atlanta way back in the 70,s and he creeped me out then. From what I have heard he was bad news even as a child. His family are good people. people you would love to have as neighbors. Hilton is a abberation. And the Hilton name does not connect to any of them
To be honest until he came up as a person of interest they had no idea if he was dead or alive. The preference would have been for him to have been dead rather than all these people being killed. I dont know why the break with him happened. I just know with the family members I have know for years it must have been something really huge. These people hold family and friends close. Hilton had every chance in the world to be a good solid citizen for what ever reason he is not.

Gary was my neighbor on 11th st. back in 94 and, I gotta tell ya.. he didn't seem like this person. We were neighbors for a while-I had him over for dinner, we went out for drinks too- we were friends up until I moved. then, ironically about 7 years later, I started work at a place in Sandy Springs... and he worked there. This Gary was distrought, suicidal, and eradic. I wish you had spell check- anyway. He said he wanted to blow his brains out- that he was sick of life. I feel terrible for the familys of his victims. You just never know about people.

This second comment says that seh met back up with Hilton at a workplace in 2001. He was at IWS then. Do you think this poster is tlaking about IWS or some other place or is just wrong?

I have some issues with that Burner post which didn't jump out at me back in the summer when I first read it. She is not clear at all in what happened to her. She says she was parked in the front parking lot, he was in the back. Is she talking about the ranger that sped up in the golf cart or Hilton? Also, she was specific about the tags and that the dog was in the front seat. How did she know this? o as the dog never out of the van? Also if there were other complaints I would love to see them.

The old van - been thinking about that. He left it parked in the woods, with the tag still on. It sat for quite a while before the the wardens took notice and sent him a citation. Now, Hilton told those Pickens police that he had been minding his p's and q's since his last arrest/probation. Why would he ignore the notice sent to him? It went to IWS. Did Tabor or the secretary just fail to hand it over? I take it the letter wasn't sent certified? Or was it? To be effective service there has to be proof of service. So? Who got the letter a bench warrant had been issued for Hilton?

Rem this was somebody that didn't have a lot of disposable income, or so we are led to believe. Why would he drive his van into the woods and walk away, rather than even get $50 for it? Plus, he had to get out of the woods somehow.

Lastly - and this really has me hacked off - remember the talk about that evidence list that was released in this case? Back around June 25, we got a glimpse of what and who the state of Florida was looking at. Guess what? I know for a fact I froze the screen and copied what WCTV showed as part of their news cast that listed this evidence. I talked about it at TDO. Can't find any of that there now.

I was looking for the name on that motel brochure found in Hilton's van. I thought in was Pine Lodge, but GePea's info puts that in Florida; granted a relevant spot in Florida, but I don't think that was it because I remember googling the name and it was in Brevard NC. Who knows since IT"S NOT AT TDO ANYMORE.
