Tazebell, I saw your post at TDO. Hilton has been identified as having been in Ducktown, TN on several occasions by a woman, Stephanie Johnson, who had been driving a route for Coca-Cola for eight years. She states she saw Hilton in Ducktown during the summer of 2007 and in October of 2007. She said that Hilton would just sit on a milk crate at the corner, where the BP station is located that she delivers drinks to, with a black mutt that had brown splotches.

Also, a cashier at the Kangaroo Express BP gas station said a man fitting Hilton’s description would come into the gas station to buy cigarettes. The BP gas station Johnson placed Hilton at is about 150 yards from the ATM someone used to withdraw $300 from the Bryant's account.

I wonder who Hilton might have been visiting in that area. Hilton seemed to have had his "regular route" also. Was he delivering or picking up?

You also have some interesting points to ponder GeorgiaPeach. How many witnesses were on your list? I suppose you could get someone like Hilton to do this type of "work" for $10,000 each with a $2,500 down and the balance due upon completion of the "job".

Remember Hilton's "well rehearsed" story to LE back in April about how John Tabor owed him $150,000 in back pay? I wonder if Hilton sits in his cell with legal pads writing new "scripts"/scenarios?! He does like to gab as well as write at times.

I have long had the opinion that he was some sort of courier...Meth?, Pot?, Pills?, Money?, Maybe Cigarettes?(Don't some states sell them with lower Taxes that other states??)..

This is very interesting facts about Tabor! He continues to be the "Mystery Man" in all these strange happenings. It seems to me that GMH's name was used way too much in Tabor's dealings with the public. Perhaps Tabor was paying GMH for the use of this signature on all those earlier documents! Were you the one that posted all the many ways that GMH signed his name on Tabor's business as a witness? It sure would be easy for Tabor to have sighed GMH's name! Therefore insuring that he would never be located to give testimony in case there were questions!

Nublogster, interesting point about the cigarettes. North Carolina has one of the lowest tax rates on cigarettes as well as Florida. If this were a betting event, I would wager GMH was running more than cigarettes. But, wouldn't cigarettes make a convenient cover story for why he was in Florida or NC so often.

It has been proposed to our less than wonderful governing body in Florida that they raise the cigarette tax by $1 per pack, so that they would be more in line with other states tax on cigarettes. Instead property taxes, gasoline taxes, and county taxes are being increased.

Also, I had a group of men (all former state hospital or prisoners in the state of Florida) explain to be how they made money on contraband in these institutions. Selling cigarettes from Florida to a state with higher cigarette taxes is a whole lot of tax-free money for the people who run that racket.

Also, I spoke with an attorney in SC who successfully handled a case against a home remodeler there who was filing deeds in trust that had been fraudulently exectuted; i.e., witness/notary signatures forged.

Thing is, he can't remember the name of the dang company!!

Does anyone have a lead on what apartment complex Gary Hilton supposedly worked at in the 80's? Below is a comment from Cynthia Nassar's son Derreck correcting what was reported by his brother Clinton Roszelle in the AJC article. I wonder what he did there, maintenance maybe? Sick with something even in the 80's? So is anyone buying into Tabor's story anymore that he was okay up until the beginning of 2007? I wonder why Tabor chose to point at that particular time frame to claim things changed?

I am Cynthia Nassar’s son Derreck. I would first like to make a clarification to everyone – my mother was not Gary Hilton’s girlfriend. My mother met Gary back when I was a young child in the early 80’s. He was an acquaintance at best. The whole idea that they were in a relationship was due to an article in the AJC which quoted my brother Clint saying they dated. This is untrue and my mother would be outraged at my brother to have seen this. The truth is Gary Hilton was a transient and knew a lot of people. Because of his strange demeanor people would remember him. About 10 years after moving from the apartments where gary worked, my mom and I did see him once again. It was the early 90's and Gary was hitching along the road when my mom reconized him. We gave him a ride somewhere and never saw him again. Even then he creeped my mother out very bad. She told me she though he was sick with something.

As for my mother’s death she died from an advanced stage of breast cancer on 12/01/05. She was diagnosed less than a year before her death. My mother was a resident of Atlanta, but after getting sick she did live with my older brother in Tallahassee, FL so he could take care of her about 3 months before her death. In order to collect Medicare and disability due to her illness, she had to claim residency where she was living in Tallahassee. Sadly her first disability check was received about 2 days after she died. My mother did return to Atlanta for Thanksgiving of 2005 to visit with family and she was staying with my brother Clay and his wife Kayla. Soon after returning to Atlanta she passed away due to complications with her illness and was cremated in McDonough near my brother Clay’s house.

I hope this clears up any ideas that Gary Hilton murdered my mom. I know he is a strange guy and people like to believe strange things. I hope justice prevails for anyone who has been affected by this guy’s craziness.
